Frederick Nobile

Mr. Nobile is a consultant with the McLaughlin Consulting Group in Menlo Park, CA, specializing in the display process technology and secondary research. As an innovator in the polymer dispersed liquid crystal (PDLC) field, he has extensive background in materials and process development as well as device fabrication and test. He has also developed extensive databases of display products and applications.

Mr. Nobile has assisted both domestic and foreign clients in equipping plastic displays. He worked extensively with a European PDLC developer, specifying and procuring laboratory scale process equipment and instrumentation, as well as supporting the ramp up of a full scale pilot coating facility. He has also worked with two other multi-national companies in developing switchable smart window shading market and technology strategy.

Mr. Nobile was a founder of Peregrine Optifilm in 1988, a leading PDLC research company. He was responsible for designing, procuring, and operating the coating and laminating equipment that Peregrine used in its research contracts with major corporations as well as to support its ARPA funded projects.

Prior to Peregrine, Mr. Nobile was employed by Shade/Allied, a leading paper and film converter and processor. He also worked as a researcher in the field of electronic ceramics and photo-voltaics.
